Résumé     

L’holotype de Latirus (Latirus) lhommei  (Staadt), gastéropode de l’Éocène inférieur du bassin de Paris) ainsi que le manuscrit original de sa description, ont été découverts chez un libraire du « Marché aux Puces ». Nous publions un fragment du manuscrit original et donnons de nouvelles figures de cette espèce.

Rediscovery of the holotype of Latirus (Latirulus) lhommei (Staadt, 1908) (Gastropoda: Buccinidae).

Abstract     

The Holotype of Latirus (Latirus) lhommei  (Staadt), a Lower Eocene gastropod from the Paris Basin, together with a handwritten manuscript containing its original description, were discoveres in a bookshop at the « Marché aux Puces ». Part of that description is repeated here and the holotype is refigured.
